The PIISMA hydraulic servo pump system consists of a variable speed servomotor controlled by  inverter coupled with an internal gear pump, whose power may be constantly adapted to suit effective needs, in such a way as to eliminate idle machinery losses almost entirely. The basic PIISMA version of these pump systems also consists of three main components:

  1. Inverter
  2. Synchronous servo motor
  3. Internal gear pump

The variable speed servo drive system Piisma is the technologically advanced solution that stands out for its operative benefits and the energy saving it provides to the system, without changing its performances:

  • Energy is supplied only when it is really necessary;
  • Average noise emission reduction up to 20 dB (A);
  • Reduced overall dimensions compared to a standard equipment.
 

The PIISMA system consists of a variable speed servomotor controlled by inverter coupled with an internal gear fixed-displacement pump, whose power may be constantly adapted to suit e­ective needs, in such a way as to eliminate idle machinery losses almost entirely. When the machine is not carrying out any operation, the pump motor also comes to a standstill, unlike traditional hydraulic presses whose pump continues to make the oil circulate even when the machine is idle.

By regulating the number of revolutions and the pressure, it is possible to have different ranges of pressure and flow rate according to the needs required by the cycle. The flow rate of the hydraulic pump is proportional to the speed of the electric motor.

The energy consumption of injection moulding presses combined with the PIISMA system are therefore cut by more than half, to the advantage of production e­fficiency.

Retrofitting: in the case of revamping and modernization of existing presses, the use of the PIISMA can greatly improve the performances of the plant and at the same time significantly reduce energy costs and the noise levels. The PIISMA modular system can be installed on any existing press, both small and large tonnage, both with a circuit equipped with a traditional pump and with an oil-pneumatic accumulator circuit. When installed, the PIISMA system is appropriately calibrated and fine-tuned by our specialized technicians and does not modify the functioning of the machine, leaving the performances unchanged in terms of speed and/or design pressures required.
